Winnebago Comprehensive Healthcare System (WCHS) is a tribally owned, integrated health system serving over 10,000 Native Americans across more than 10 locations in Nebraska and Iowa, anchored by Twelve Clans Unity Hospital, a 13-bed, CMS-certified facility. When WCHS set out to implement an integrated EHR across its hospital and ambulatory clinics, Purpose Health delivered the MEDITECH Expanse expertise it needed through a cost-effective, remote implementation model.

Implementing an integrated EHR across a hospital and its ambulatory clinics requires substantial operational resources to architect, design, build, and train teams on the new platform. WCHS had a strong internal team, but delivering comprehensive, culturally centered medicine across acute care, primary and preventive care, and public health programs left little capacity to spare. It needed supplemental consulting and advisory support from a partner with deep MEDITECH Expanse implementation experience and a cost-effective delivery model.
